In case you haven’t yet seen it, our PHP Training iPod Promo is back for the third year in a row. This is one of our most popular promotions—possibly because it’s simple and evil at the same time. I mean, how often do you get a brand-new (almost not even released yet) iPod Touch when you buy a training course?

This year’s promo comes with a twist: you can actually get two iPods—perfect for getting the boss to cough up the money to upgrade your mad PHP skillz and share the booty.

The promo is open until November 30th, or until we run out of iPods… which, if things go like last year, will be very soon.

⇥ More technology == more humiliation

For those of you who weren’t lucky enough to be at our php|works conference last week in Atlanta… I was among you due to having to prepare for some non-work-related activities.

As it is a tradition for me to close our conferences with a short keynote (this year’s “Software and the Taste of Mayo” seems to have struck a chord with plenty of people who were looking for confirmation that I am, in fact, insane), however, the guys arranged for me to give my keynote remotely via a video link.

What they didn’t tell me, however, is that they had arranged for a simple (but, as you will see, very effective) web-based system that allowed members of the audience to submit “captions” to the screen as I was speaking. The results were, of course, hilarious—mostly because they “forgot” to tell me about the idea until a few days after.
